Medvedev approved a strategy to combat illicit trafficking of industrial products until 2020
MOSCOW, December 8 - RIA Novosti. Russian Prime Minister Dmitriy Medvedev approved a strategy to combat illicit trafficking of industrial products until 2020 and the planning period up to 2025; in some areas the proportion of counterfeit products in Russia up to 50%.
"I adopted a strategy to combat illicit trafficking of industrial products for the period up to 2020 and the planning period up to 2025. fakes and counterfeit production hamper the establishment of a civilized market, to assess the extent of disasters it is difficult to exact figures, because trafficking is in the informal economy", - Medvedev said at a government meeting.
"However, in some industries the proportion of such products can be very large - up to 50%. As a result, budget receives less taxes, people who buy such products, risk their health and sometimes even their lives", - said the head of government.
